Balsamic Glazed Caprese Panini Supreme Recipe:
- 4 slices sourdough or ciabatta bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for grilling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Sandwiches: Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil. On the unbrushed side of two slices, layer fresh mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and black pepper.
- Grill the Paninis: Top with the remaining slices of bread, olive oil side facing out. Heat a skillet or panini press over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter to the pan if using a skillet. Grill the sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden and crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a thin layer of pesto on the inside of the bread.
- You can also use a flavored balsamic reduction, such as fig or garlic, for variation.
