- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Blueberry Filling:
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 tablespoon blueberry jam or preserves
Additional:
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Make Blueberry Filling: In a separate bowl, gently toss the blueberries with the blueberry jam.
- Prepare Puff Pastry: Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut into 4 equal squares. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each square, then top with the blueberry mixture.
- Form Pastries: Fold the corners toward the center, pinching gently to seal, or fold diagonally into triangles and crimp edges with a fork.
- Egg Wash and Bake: Beat the egg with water and brush over the pastry. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
