Description

Blueberry Topping:

  • ¾ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon blueberry jam (optional)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 teaspoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Assemble Danish: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal rectangles. Spread cream cheese filling, blueberries, and jam on each rectangle.
  4. Bake: Brush with beaten egg, bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  5. Make Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with milk, drizzle over the warm danishes before serving.
