Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
Egg Mixture
- 8 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Fillings
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 slices cooked bacon or 6 breakfast sausage patties cooked and crumbled
- 4 slices American or cheddar cheese, halved
Topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and arrange the bottom halves evenly in the greased baking dish.
- Make the scrambled eggs: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter, then pour in the egg mixture. Scramble gently until the eggs are just set but still moist.
- Assemble the sliders: Spread the scrambled eggs evenly over the bottom bun halves. Layer cooked bacon or crumbled sausage on top of the eggs, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the halved American or cheddar cheese slices evenly over the filling.
- Top and season: Cover with the top halves of the slider buns. Brush the tops generously with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and sesame seeds, if using.
- Bake the sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden and crisp.
- Serve and enjoy: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool slightly before slicing into individual portions. Serve warm for a satisfying breakfast or brunch treat.
Notes
- Customize your sliders by adding ham, spinach, or peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
- For a convenient make-ahead option, assemble the sliders the night before and refrigerate; bake them fresh in the morning.
- Feel free to use different types of cheese such as mozzarella or pepper jack to suit your taste preferences.
