Instructions
- Line the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Mix Ingredients: Stir in the heavy cream and brown sugar, and bring to a gentle boil. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add Flavorings: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
- Add Sugar: Gradually whisk in the sifted powdered sugar until smooth and thick.
- Finish: Fold in the toasted pecans. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Let cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then transfer to the fridge to chill for at least 2 more hours or until firm. Cut into squares and serve.
