Filling:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 green onions (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
Additional:
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- Oil for frying (about 2–3 cups)
Instructions
- Cook Filling: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, cook ground chicken until brown. Add ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir in cabbage, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Cool.
- Assemble: Place filling on egg roll wrapper, fold bottom corner over, then sides, and roll tightly. Seal with water.
- Fry: Heat oil, fry egg rolls until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- To bake instead of fry, brush egg rolls with oil and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes.
- Air fryer option: cook at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
- You can also substitute ground turkey or finely chopped cooked chicken breast.
