For the Chicken:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 1 small yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For Assembly:
- 8 slider buns or dinner rolls
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat and Cook Chicken: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook chicken in olive oil until browned and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes.
- Sauté Veggies: Add bell pepper and onion, cook until tender, about 4–5 minutes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble Sliders: Place bottom halves of buns in a baking dish. Top with chicken mixture, provolone, and bun tops.
- Bake: Brush tops with butter, sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Bake covered, then uncovered, until golden and cheese is melted, 10 minutes covered and 5–7 minutes uncovered.
- Serve: Serve warm.

- You can swap provolone for mozzarella or pepper jack for extra spice.
