Dough:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Egg and Vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Stir in Chocolate Chips: Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Shape and Bake: Divide the dough in half and shape each portion into a long, flat rectangle on the baking sheet. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until lightly golden and set.
- Cut into Sticks: Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then slice each rectangle into sticks while still warm. Cool completely before serving.
