Instructions
- Melt Chocolate and Butter: Place the dark chocolate and unsalted butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (double boiler) and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Add Sugar: Remove the bowl from heat and immediately stir in the sugar until well combined.
- Incorporate Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition to ensure a smooth mixture.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in the all-purpose flour, chopped hazelnuts, and vanilla extract until the batter is evenly mixed without overmixing.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour the batter evenly into it, spreading it out smoothly.
- Bake: Place in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and Cut: Allow the baked squares to cool completely in the dish before lifting out and cutting into 16 equal squares.
