  • 1–2 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add butter, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  3. Prepare streusel: In a small bowl, combine all streusel ingredients until crumbly.
  4. Layer the batter: Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle half of the streusel, add remaining batter, and top with the rest of the streusel. Swirl with a knife.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10–15 minutes.
  6. Optional glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; drizzle over the cake before serving.
