For the gravy:

  • 2 packets (0.87 oz each) chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Additional:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream (added at end)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gravy: In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Cook the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot and pour the gravy mixture over them. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  3. Shred the chicken: Once cooked, shred the chicken in the crock pot using two forks. Stir in the sour cream until the gravy is creamy.
