Instructions
- Dissolve Yeast: In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water with sugar; let stand 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix Ingredients: Stir in butter, salt, 1 egg, and 2 cups flour. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead Dough: Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rise Dough: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Shape Bunny: Punch down dough and divide into various parts for the bunny’s body, head, ears, cheeks, paws. Assemble on a baking sheet.
- Add Details: Use raisins for eyes, a jelly bean for the nose. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush dough with egg wash and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Cool on a wire rack before serving.
