Chicken:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
Fireball Glaze:
- 1/2 cup Fireball cinnamon whisky
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Others:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Green onions and sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fireball Glaze: In a saucepan, combine Fireball whisky, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until glossy.
- Cook the Chicken: Brown chicken pieces in vegetable oil. Pour Fireball sauce over the chicken and simmer to coat. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Great served over rice, mashed potatoes, or wrapped in lettuce cups.
