Description

Fireball Chicken is a delicious sweet and spicy dish that features tender chicken pieces coated in a flavorful Fireball whisky glaze. This easy stovetop recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Chicken:

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

Fireball Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup Fireball cinnamon whisky
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

Others:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Green onions and sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fireball Glaze: In a saucepan, combine Fireball whisky, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until glossy.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Brown chicken pieces in vegetable oil. Pour Fireball sauce over the chicken and simmer to coat. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Great served over rice, mashed potatoes, or wrapped in lettuce cups.
  • You can also grill the chicken and brush with the Fireball glaze during the last few minutes of cooking.
