Ingredients
Scale
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steaks
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8-10 oz each), at room temperature
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Shrimp
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure it’s hot enough for searing the steaks and shrimp properly.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
- Season Steaks: Generously season both sides of the ribeye or sirloin steaks with salt and pepper. Lightly brush olive oil on both sides to prevent sticking and promote even grilling.
- Season Shrimp: Season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and pepper, then lightly brush them with olive oil as well.
- Grill Steaks and Shrimp: Place the steaks and shrimp on the preheated grill. Grill steaks about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness (adjust timing as desired). Grill shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: During the last few minutes of grilling, generously brush the steaks and shrimp with the prepared garlic butter mixture. Flip once more to evenly coat both sides.
- Rest Steaks: Remove steaks and shrimp from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes to retain juices and ensure tenderness.
- Serve and Garnish: Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the sliced steak and shrimp. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Letting steaks rest post-grill helps retain juices and enhances tenderness.
- Adjust grilling time based on steak thickness and desired doneness.
- Fresh parsley adds bright flavor—feel free to substitute with cilantro if preferred.
- For a smoky flavor, use charcoal or wood chips during grilling.
- Ensure shrimp are deveined and peeled for the best texture and taste.
