Pasta:

- 16 ounces mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button)

- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms: Heat oil and butter, sauté garlic. Add mushrooms, thyme, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until browned.
- Combine: Toss cooked pasta in skillet. Stir in Parmesan and pasta water gradually for a creamy sauce.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
