For the Ground Beef and Gravy:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Mashed Potatoes: Place potatoes in a pot, cover with water, add salt, and boil until tender. Drain, mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Ground Beef and Gravy: Brown beef in olive oil, add onion and garlic, then flour. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened, stir in butter.
- Serve beef and gravy over mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley.
