Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar.
- Add wet ingredients: Stir in buttermilk and melted butter until just combined.
- Transfer and bake: Transfer dough to the pan, score the top, and bake for 40–45 minutes until golden.
- Cool and serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
