For the Corn Dogs:
- 6 all-beef hot dogs
- ¾ cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons coconut flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon granular erythritol
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 6 wooden skewers or sticks
- nonstick spray
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Prepare Hot Dogs: Insert wooden skewers into the hot dogs.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, erythritol, salt, and garlic powder.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, almond milk, and melted butter.
- Combine Ingredients: Mix the wet and dry ingredients, then stir in the shredded mozzarella until a thick dough forms.
- Wrap Hot Dogs: Divide the dough into six portions and wrap each portion around a hot dog, molding it evenly with your hands.
- Air Fry: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray and place the wrapped hot dogs in the basket. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Serve: Serve warm with sugar-free ketchup or mustard.
Notes
- If the dough is too sticky to handle, chill it for 10–15 minutes before shaping.
- You can also use pre-cooked sausages or bratwursts for variation.
