Description

Indulge in the savory-sweet delight of Korean Garlic Cheese Bread. These soft bread rolls are filled with a creamy, sweetened cream cheese and coated in a flavorful garlic butter mixture before baking to golden perfection. A popular Korean street food snack that’s easy to make at home!

Ingredients

Scale

Bread Rolls:

  • 4 small round bread rolls (soft dinner rolls or brioche)

Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream

Garlic Butter Mixture:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare cream cheese filling: Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth and pipeable.
  3. Prepare garlic butter mixture: In a bowl, whisk together egg, melted butter, milk, mayonnaise, honey, garlic, parsley, and salt.
  4. Prepare bread rolls: Slice each roll into wedges without cutting through the base. Fill with cream cheese mixture.
  5. Coat rolls: Dip filled rolls in garlic butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Bake: Place rolls on baking sheet, spoon extra garlic butter on top, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  7. Serve: Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Use day-old bread for better texture.
  • For extra cheesiness, add shredded mozzarella inside or on top before baking.
  • Best served fresh but can be reheated in an oven or air fryer.
