Description

Million Dollar Ravioli Lasagna Layers is a decadent and easy-to-make baked pasta dish combining frozen cheese ravioli, savory ground beef in marinara sauce, and a rich, creamy cheese blend. Layered with ricotta, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan, this lasagna offers a comforting twist on classic Italian flavors, perfect for a family dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Italian seasoning, salt & pepper (to taste)

Other Ingredients

  • 25 oz frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat, then add the marinara sauce and simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
  3. Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, ricotta, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
  4. Layer Ingredients: In a baking dish, start with a layer of the beef and marinara sauce. Next, add a layer of frozen ravioli, then spread a layer of the cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella over the cheese layer. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, ensuring the final top layer is mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add Parmesan and Bake: Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top of the final layer. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the lasagna is heated through.
  6. Rest and Serve: Allow the lasagna to sit for 5 minutes after baking to set. Then slice and serve your cheesy, hearty ravioli lasagna immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for ground beef for variation.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
  • Ensure the ravioli is frozen when layering; it will cook thoroughly during baking.
  • Letting the dish rest after baking improves slicing and serving.
  • If you prefer, fresh herbs like basil can be sprinkled on top before serving for extra flavor.
