Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 tablespoon (21 g) raw honey
- 2 shots (approx. 2 ounces / 60 ml) freshly brewed espresso
- ½ teaspoon (1.3 g) pumpkin spice (blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and other warm spices)
Toppings (Optional)
- Whipped cream (homemade recommended)
- Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine Pumpkin Mixture: In a large cup or mug, mix 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon honey, ½ teaspoon pumpkin spice, and 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso. Stir well to blend the sweet and spicy flavors, forming a rich base.
- Add Milk: Pour 1 cup whole milk over the pumpkin and espresso mixture to meld the flavors and add creaminess, balancing the intensity of the coffee and spices.
- Froth the Latte: Using a milk frother or vigorous whisking, blend the ingredients until smooth and frothy to create a light, airy texture. If the milk does not froth easily, heat it gently to about 150°F (65°C) for 1-2 minutes on medium heat before frothing.
- Finish and Garnish: Top the latte with a swirl of whipped cream and sprinkle ground cinnamon evenly on top. To avoid cinnamon clumping, gently tap the whipped cream’s surface before garnishing.
Notes
- Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling, to avoid added sugars and spices.
- Raw honey is preferred for natural sweetness and flavor.
- Homemade whipped cream provides a light and airy finish but can be omitted if desired.
- Heating the milk before frothing enhances texture and temperature balance.
- Adjust pumpkin spice quantity to taste if a stronger spice flavor is preferred.
- This recipe makes a single serving; multiply ingredients as needed for more servings.
