Instructions

- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until well combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Form dough: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture to form a soft dough.
- Bake: Scoop the dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Cool and decorate: Let the cookies cool on the sheet, then press a candy pumpkin into each cookie. Pipe green vines and leaves around the pumpkins.
