Ingredients
Scale
Sticky Sauce
- 1/3 cup Frank’s Original Hot Sauce
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Chicken Wraps
- 8 breaded chicken fingers (warm from the deli or frozen – fully cooked before eating)
- 4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small tomato (sliced)
- 2 cups chopped lettuce
Instructions
- Prepare Sticky Sauce: In a medium-sized saucepan, combine hot sauce, brown sugar, and water over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the sauce begins to boil, which should take about 5 to 10 minutes. Once boiling, turn off the heat and remove the pan from the burner. Let the sauce stand for a few minutes to thicken.
- Cook Chicken Fingers: If using frozen chicken fingers, bake them according to the package instructions until fully cooked and crispy. If using deli-warm chicken fingers, ensure they are heated through.
- Coat Chicken in Sauce: Place the cooked chicken fingers in a large bowl. Pour the sticky sauce over the chicken and gently toss with tongs to evenly coat each finger with the sauce.
- Assemble Wraps: Take one large flour tortilla and place two sauce-coated chicken fingers onto it. Add a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese, followed by chopped lettuce and tomato slices.
- Wrap and Serve: Fold the tortilla snugly around the fillings to form a wrap. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy this delicious combination of sticky, savory, and fresh flavors.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, bake the chicken fingers before coating them with sauce.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with any cheese of your preference.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce and brown sugar for a milder or spicier sauce.
- These wraps are best served immediately to enjoy the contrast of textures.
- Use fresh vegetables to keep the wrap crunchy and refreshing.
