Scale
Pizza Dough:
- 1 ball of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Toppings:
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna in olive oil (drained and flaked)
- 1/4 small red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup black olives (sliced)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon capers (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for drizzling
- Fresh parsley or arugula for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch round and transfer to a baking sheet or preheated stone.
- Add toppings: Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, top with tuna, red onion, olives, and capers. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Finish and serve: Garnish with parsley or arugula before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try garlic-infused olive oil or chili flakes.
- You can use shallots or green onions instead of red onion.
- Oil-packed tuna adds more flavor than water-packed.
