Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- Melted butter (approximately 1/2 cup)
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 oz whipped topping (half of 8 oz), thawed
Pudding Layer
- 2 packages (3.9 oz each) chocolate pudding mix
- 4 cups milk
Toppings and Garnishes
- 1 cup caramel sauce (divided, plus extra for drizzling)
- 8 oz whipped topping (remaining half), thawed
- 1 cup chopped pecans, divided
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form an even crust layer.
- Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese together with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in half (4 oz) of the thawed whipped topping to lighten the mixture.
- Assemble First Layers: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust. Then, prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions using the 4 cups of milk. Spread the prepared pudding over the cream cheese layer.
- Add Caramel and Nuts: Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the pudding layer, then use a knife or spatula to gently swirl it in for a marbled effect. Sprinkle half of the chopped pecans and half of the chocolate chips evenly on top.
- Finish the Dessert: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the entire dessert. Drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle the rest of the chopped pecans and chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, allowing the layers to set before serving.
Notes
- For best flavor and texture, let the dessert chill overnight.
- Use full-fat cream cheese and whipped topping for the creamiest consistency.
- To save time, prepare the pudding mix while assembling the cream cheese layer.
- You can substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds if preferred.
- Ensure the whipped topping is fully thawed before folding or spreading for even layers.
