For the Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea:
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the water and steep the tea: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the tea bags, reduce heat, and simmer for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength. Remove tea bags.
- Prepare the milk tea: Stir in the milk, honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Simmer over low heat for another 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve: Pour into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick or a light sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For an iced version, let the milk tea cool and serve over ice.
- You can also froth the milk before adding it for a creamier texture.
