How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

These cinnamon apples are incredibly versatile. Serve them warm over vanilla ice cream for a classic dessert, or spoon them onto pancakes, waffles, or Greek yogurt for a delicious breakfast. They also make a fantastic topping for oatmeal or even a savory pork dish.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes until warmed through and slightly caramelized again. I don’t recommend freezing, as the texture can become mushy.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss the apple chunks with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt until well coated.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  3. Place the seasoned apples in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  4. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until apples are tender and caramelized at the edges.
  5. Serve warm as is, or over vanilla ice cream, yogurt, or oatmeal. Enjoy!

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For extra caramelization, don't overcrowd the basket—give the apples room to breathe. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days; reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to bring back that fresh texture.
