How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

These brownie bites are wonderful on their own, but I love serving them with a scoop of vanilla gelato or a drizzle of warm chocolate sauce for dessert. They’re also perfect alongside a cup of coffee or tea, and the powdered sugar makes them look festive on any cookie platter.

To store, keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days—they’ll stay soft and fudgy. For longer storage, freeze the unfrosted brownies in a zip-top bag for up to 3 months; just thaw at room temperature and re-dust with sugar. They’re best enjoyed within the first day or two, but I doubt they’ll last that long!

Fudgy, soft, and dusted in powdered sugar

These fudgy brownie bites are impossibly soft, with a rich cocoa flavor and a delicate dusting of powdered sugar that makes them look like little snowballs. They're a cozy, crowd-pleasing treat that comes together in one bowl—no mixer needed.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Sift the cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the wet mixture. Fold gently with a spatula until just combined—don't overmix.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 22–25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. Let cool completely in the pan, then lift out using the parchment. Cut into 16 squares and dust generously with powdered sugar just before serving.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For extra fudginess, pull the brownies out when the toothpick still has a little batter clinging—they'll set as they cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months (dust with sugar after thawing).
