How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

These stuffed mushrooms are best served warm, but they’re also delicious at room temperature, which makes them perfect for a buffet. Try them alongside a crisp green salad or as a side to a simple roast chicken for a weeknight dinner.

For leftovers, pop them in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes to bring back that crispy top. If you’ve frozen them unbaked, just add 10 extra minutes to the baking time—no need to thaw.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or a 9x13-inch dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the chopped mushroom stems, onion, and garlic, and sauté for 5-6 minutes until soft and any liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix the sautéed mixture with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, cream cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spoon the filling into each mushroom cap, mounding it slightly. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden. Serve warm or at room temperature.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For extra richness, swap the breadcrumbs for crushed Ritz crackers or panko. You can also add cooked, crumbled sausage or bacon to the filling for a heartier bite. Store leftover stuffed mushrooms in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze unbaked for up to 2 months.
