How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

Maple Magic is a meal-prep champion. I often double the recipe and pack it into lunchboxes with a side of quinoa or rice. The flavors actually deepen overnight, so it tastes even better the next day.

For reheating, skip the microwave if you can—a quick stint in a skillet or toaster oven revives the crispness. You can also freeze portions in airtight containers for up to 3 months; thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat gently. Just remember to add a splash of water or broth if the glaze gets too thick.

Maple Magic

Maple Magic is a cozy weeknight dinner where juicy chicken thighs are glazed in a sweet-savory maple Dijon sauce, with roasted sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts for a hearty, one-pan meal that feels like a hug on a plate.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and a pinch of salt. Spread on a baking sheet.
  3. Place chicken thighs on top of the vegetables. Brush generously with half of the maple glaze.
  4. Roast for 20 minutes, then brush with remaining glaze and continue roasting for 5-8 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F) and veggies are tender.
  5. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon any pan juices over the chicken and veggies.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For extra caramelization, broil for the last 2 minutes—just watch closely so the sugars don't burn. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months; reheat gently in the oven to keep the glaze sticky.
