How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken is fantastic right out of the oven, but it’s also great for meal prep. Serve it with a side of roasted veggies or a fresh green salad for a complete meal. Leftovers make a delicious sandwich the next day, too.

To store, keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the cooked chicken for up to 2 months. When you’re ready to reheat, pop it in a 375°F oven for about 10 minutes to bring back the crispiness—avoid the microwave if you can, as it softens the crust.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the Parmesan, panko, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Place the beaten eggs in another shallow dish.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the egg, letting any excess drip off, then press into the Parmesan mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For extra crispy crust, use freshly grated Parmesan and don't skip the sear—it locks in flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months; reheat in the oven to keep the crunch.
