How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

This dish is best served hot, straight from the skillet. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. The sauce will thicken as it sits, so add a splash of milk or cream when reheating.

To reheat, warm gently on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Avoid the microwave if you can—it can make the steak tough. Pair it with a crisp green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal that feels like a restaurant dinner at home.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the tortellini cooks, pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and the garlic to the same skillet. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Return the steak bites to the skillet, warm through for 1-2 minutes, then garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For the most tender steak bites, don't overcrowd the pan—sear in batches if needed. Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat gently on the stove with a splash of cream to bring the sauce back to life.
