How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

These bites are fantastic on their own as an appetizer, but they also shine over rice, in tacos, or on a fresh salad. I love serving them with a squeeze of lime and some avocado for a complete meal. For a party, set them out on a platter with toothpicks and watch them vanish.

If you have leftovers, store them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, warm them gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water to refresh the glaze. Avoid the microwave—it makes the salmon rubbery. And if you want to freeze, do it before glazing, then thaw and finish fresh.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon cubes in a single layer (work in batches if needed) and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to low. Add honey and hot sauce, stirring until combined and warmed through.
  4. Return the salmon bites to the skillet and toss gently to coat each piece in the hot honey glaze.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For extra crispiness, make sure the salmon is very dry before searing—moisture is the enemy of a good crust. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat gently in a skillet to keep the texture.
