How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

This cheesecake is best served cold, straight from the fridge—it slices cleanly and the flavors are bright. I love topping each slice with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.

For storage, keep it covered in the fridge for up to 5 days. If you need to freeze it, skip the streusel topping (it gets soggy), wrap the cheesecake tightly in plastic and foil, and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge, then add fresh streusel before serving.

Apple Crisp Cheesecake

This Apple Crisp Cheesecake is a buttery graham cracker crust, a creamy and tangy cheesecake filling, topped with cinnamon-spiced apples and a crunchy oat streusel. It's the ultimate fall dessert that's surprisingly easy to make and always disappears fast.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter; press into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then sour cream and vanilla; mix until just combined. Pour over crust.
  3. Toss apple slices with 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon; arrange over cheesecake filling.
  4. In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and cold butter with a pastry blender until crumbly; stir in oats. Sprinkle over apples.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

For a neater slice, chill the cheesecake overnight—it's worth the wait. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze slices (without topping) for up to 3 months.
