How to Store, Freeze & Reheat

This fudge is a party hero—serve it on a platter with other holiday sweets, or wrap pieces in cellophane bags with a ribbon for homemade gifts. It also pairs wonderfully with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee.

Keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months—it thaws beautifully in the fridge overnight. Just let it come to room temp for a few minutes before serving for the best texture.

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Stir in vanilla, peppermint extract (if using), and salt. Remove about 1/3 of the mixture into a small bowl and tint it with green gel food coloring until you get the Grinch-green shade you like.
  4. Pour the white mixture into the prepared dish, then drop spoonfuls of the green mixture on top. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl gently for a marbled effect.
  5. Press red heart sprinkles onto the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm, then lift out and cut into squares.

  7. For clean cuts, use a sharp knife and wipe it between slices—this keeps the fudge neat. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months (just thaw in the fridge before serving).

👩🍳 Chef Elena’s Kitchen Notes & Storage

Don't rush the initial sear—those golden caramelized bits on the bottom of the pan (the fond) hold 80% of the savory depth. Store leftovers in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 4 days; reheat gently over low heat with a splash of broth or water.
